Affluence Tech
Structuring wealth creation through modular investment engines, transparent yields, and habit-driven growth.

Overview
Most wealth management web applications overwhelm users with financial jargon, hidden lock-in rules, and fragmented product catalogs.
Affluence Tech needed a comprehensive web platform to support a multi-tiered product suite—spanning micro-habit challenges (Affluence365), high-yield locked terms (Affluence Edge), liquid emergency funds (QuickReserve), and demographic-specific portfolios like Affluence Lady and Affluence Kids.
Working alongside Ada (Lead Product Designer), my focus was translating the complex business requirements into an intuitive, high-trust digital ecosystem. We focused on reducing decision paralysis, making yield calculations transparent, and designing seamless automated contribution workflows.
Contributions
I supported Ada across the full design lifecycle, focusing on UI execution, user flow mapping, and interaction details for specific product modules.
Responsibilities:
Product Designer: Partnered with Lead Designer Ada on UX research synthesis, wireframing, high-fidelity web interfaces, and interactive prototyping.
Core Focus Areas: Designing interactive yield projection calculators, multi-account parent/child navigation models, and automated deposit/rollover management flows.
Problem
While retail investors want their money to grow, complex financial structures and rigid platform interfaces create hesitation and drop-offs.
Through our analysis of the business requirements and user behaviors, we mapped three primary friction points:
Option fatigue across multi-tier products
With over seven distinct investment products ranging from ₦1,000 to ₦500,000 minimums, users struggled to identify which pool suited their liquidity needs.
"I have spare capital, but navigating between short-term yields, stock blends, and locked plans feels confusing."
Uncertainty around maturity & penalty rules
Unclear exit penalties (such as the 20% interest penalty on early exits) and ambiguous 48-hour auto-rollover windows often lead to anxiety and user mistrust.
"I'm hesitant to commit to a 180-day lock if I can't clearly see what happens when the term ends or if I need an emergency payout."
Managing fragmented life goals in one place
Users who wanted to save for themselves, manage a fund for their children, and participate in community challenges had to navigate cluttered, single-view dashboards.
"I need a clean separation between my long-term wealth, my emergency fund, and my children's future savings."
Process
Ada and I broke down the platform architecture into modular systems to handle the diverse investment logic smoothly.
While Ada led the overarching strategic UX architecture and stakeholder alignments, I took ownership of mapping detailed state logic, edge cases, and visual layout systems for key product suites.
Stage 1: Structuring the Product Taxonomy
We organized the product catalog into clear, intent-driven categories:
Liquid & Flexible
QuickReserve & Affluence EasyYield (low entry, easy access).
High-Yield Locked Growth
Affluence Edge & Affluence Equity Blend (fixed terms, commitment-backed returns).
Targeted & Demographics
Affluence Lady, Affluence Kids, & Affluence365 (habit-building, community perks, multi-account structures).
Stage 2: Interaction Models & Transparency Mechanisms
Together, we established strict UI standards across all investment cards and product hubs:
Interactive Yield Calculator
Allowing users to test deposit amounts and tenors (90, 180, 365 days) with real-time interest projections before committing.
Clear Exit Mechanics
Unambiguous displays showing penalty logic and the 48-hour post-maturity rollover counter.
Automation Flows
Frictionless controls for setting up daily, weekly, or monthly recurring debits.
Solution
A clean, modular web application that balances depth of functionality with visual calm and clarity.
We designed an expansive dashboard layout optimized for desktop, featuring a centralized net worth snapshot, dedicated product hubs, and transparent management tools.

Designs
1. The Main Dashboard
We created a central command center featuring a net worth overview, asset allocation breakdown, and real-time earnings tracker. I worked on refining the data visualization widgets to ensure total balance, accrued monthly interest, and active goal progress were instantly readable at a glance.

Users Management & Profiles
To support both user self-management and administrator oversight, I designed the User Directory and Profile views. This includes detailed account statuses, linked bank accounts, KYC verification levels, and a consolidated timeline of an individual’s active investments across all products (e.g., Affluence Kids, Affluence Lady).

Requests & Transaction Center
Handling time-sensitive financial actions required a dedicated Requests hub. I designed structured data tables and detail views for tracking pending withdrawal requests, 48-hour maturity rollover alerts, emergency QuickReserve payouts, and early exit calculations (including automated 20% interest penalty previews).

Investment Products Marketplace & Management
We built a modular Product Catalog that houses all offerings—from Affluence Edge and EasyYield to Affluence365. For users, this view provides clear comparisons of minimum entry amounts, tenors, and annual returns. For administrators, it offers an intuitive configuration interface to adjust interest tiers and feature sets.

More Screens

Impact
Delivering a scalable design system for complex FinTech offerings.
Cohesive Navigation
Successfully unified 7+ distinct product models and administrative controls into a 4-pillar web architecture.
Operational Efficiency
Centralizing requests and user profile data significantly reduced processing friction for withdrawals and rollover approvals.
Scalable Component System
Built a robust Web UI kit that allows the team to easily introduce new investment pools in the future without redesigning core layouts.
Learnings
Collaboration sharpens product quality
Working alongside Ada taught me the value of pairing high-level strategic UX direction with meticulous detail in interaction design. Defining edge cases early—like processing 48-hour auto-rollovers within the Requests view—kept the design grounded in real operational constraints.
By organizing a complex financial platform into four distinct pillars (Dashboard, Users, Requests, and Investment Products), we made high-density data feel structured, approachable, and effortless to navigate.
